Dear Colleagues,
The Energy and Mobility Lab (EMob-Lab, former LICIT-ECO7, UMR Universite Gustave Eiffel – ENTPE) invites applications for a 3-year fully funded PhD position to work on the design of Reinforcement-Learning-based strategies applied to speed limit management along motorway stretches. The main thread lies in achieving independent, decentralized RL agents fitted for a V2X environment, emphasizing robustness to inaccurate observations and transferability skills.
We are seeking an enthusiastic PhD Student to join the research team dedicated to the C-SINBADS project funded by the ANR (ANR – French National Research Agency). The project is led by Dr. Pierre-Antoine Laharotte. The PhD will be supervised by Pierre-Antoine Laharotte, Maxime Gueriau, Rim Slama-Salmi and Nour-Eddin El Faouzi.
If you are interested in the following topics, do not hesitate to apply:
- Development of Traffic Control and Management Strategies along Motorways based on speed limitation and/or ramp-metering;
- Multi-Agent Systems modelling;
- Reinforcement Learning architectures with Centralised Training Decentralised Execution (CTDE) and constraints to ensure independent but cooperative decisions;
- Intelligent Transportation Systems applied to Motorway management.
